Sushi Yama

We were so happy and full when we left after dinner tonight. Everything we got was very good. We loved the chicken yakisoba and the Jeni Roll (deep fried) . We started with a delicious appetizer of thier prawns. Wow. The prawn is perfectly cooked and placed on top of a slice of lime that just ultimately makes it a perfect bite. The garlic edamame was so perfect we ate every last one. We are not sushi connoisseurs so the yellowtail texture on top of the Cabo wabo was a little tough for our palettes. It is most likely perfect if you enjoy that type of sushi. The lobster california roll was a great value and so good too. We will definitely be back. And , we found this location via Groupon which made the evening even better by grabbing a great deal there. Go check out this location. You'll love it.

Someone suggested this place to go for my friend's birthday. We decided to try it out and we were not disappointed! We got one of their specials, I don't really remember what it was because it was a while ago. I do remember enjoying it though! It was delicious! I got a lot of sushi for the price. The sauce was phenomenal. And the Wasabi was some of the best I've ever had! It gave me good practice with my chopstick skills. If I'm ever back in Escondido, I will definitely go back. When we went, it was very busy. The place was super packed. We decided to get takeout because of that, but they were still very quick with preparing our food. If you're ever hungry for some sushi, ROLL on down to Sushi Yama!

Great to see a sushi place with vegan and vegetarian options, however only one of the rolls (avocado veggie) was flavorful. The others had a weird mix of veggies and the cucumber wrapped rolls were almost impossible to eat with chopsticks. Would come again but only for the avocado veggie rolls.
