For a Michelin star restaurant, this was a disappointing experience. The website isn't very useful. I tried to make a reservation for omakase 30 days in advance (as stated on the site), which I had to do through EMAIL instead of a reservation site, only to be told that all the slots are booked. So I guess if you'd like to have omakase, make sure to do it well in advance of 30 days. Instead, I settled for a table reservation. The restaurant is located in a not very easy to access location from the subway, so I recommend ubering from the subway - it's a long walk! The service was not that great and not very prompt. There was not much interaction with the wait staff, they just placed the food and left. We ordered a la carte (the servers gave no recommendations or guidance). The food was good but not mind blowing great. Overall, there was no wow experience or feeling that I was being taken care of during my dinner. It was more of any other fancy date night restaurant that you might go to t

Right up front: Make a reservation! You're welcome. This place is not very big and its reputation has made seats a precious commodity. Walk-in at your own risk. Take out is available though. Quality and cut is superb. Freshness? You bet. Portions are great. Service? Fantastic.

Sushi Taro was an absolutely lovely experience. I went with my brother who lives about 5 mins away while I was in town visiting. The service was impeccable and the food was fantastic. It was right after the snow storm and I was happy to see how many other people were still getting out and dining. My brother and I split everything and it was to die for. I know this is kind of random, but one of my highlights of the meal was the spicy mustard they served with the duck. I seriously could drink that mustard. I can’t wait for my next visit!
