Sushi Sake

Awful take out experience. If you want to wait for more than one hour for take out and get charged for unexplained 10% packing fee, this is the place. I have been to Sushi sake for dine-in multiple times and had good experience but the restaurant is off of my list as of today. I got there at 11:30AM to take out quickly and ended up getting orders at 12:40PM. Because the host also takes a take out order, she has to seat lined up parties first and took my order. She keyed them in kiosk at 11:50AM. I was asked to wait in the waiting area or wait in a car and waited in a car until 12:15PM. Then waited another 25 min in a waiting room while watching people arrived later than me leaving after finishing lunch. Then there comes this 10% packing fee! Not sure if they need to charge packing fee for sashimi/sushi only or all but this was charged without any explanation. Well done, Sushi Sake. I am not going back.

The sushi sake used to be my number one sushi place in my mind but this time was my mistake to visit. First the service was terrible. The server took my order put the double order for the nigiri. I got double of everything which was more than I can eat. However, the taste was not right. For example, the hand roll had too much rice. It is not the hand roll. It look like just regular roll with out cutting. The sever never come back to check my table. We had to order with manager. Finally, we wait for 45 mins for our food. If you want to get sushi, there are more options for you to choose. Maybe sushi from Kroger will taste better than sushi sake. Worst service ever!

Rather disappointing. Went with some friends maybe 6 months ago that used to live here and love the place and they were back visiting so we went. Had a great experience with service and the food was exceptional. Went there this past weekend with some friends that were visiting and sad to say it was pretty much the complete opposite. Wanted to charge extra for wasabi which we were okay with but a bit perplexed as to why a condiment would cost extra in such a small amount but whatever. Then it never came. The service was okay but if I had to put a word to it a bit on the caustic side of things and it was not at all like we had previously. The food was okay, not what I would call exceptional but okay. Our guests experienced at least one roll that fell apart easily. Additionally, we had some beverages which my wife and I usually have sake , and our guests opted for some white wine.
