Steak 'n Shake

WTH happened to this place. Self serve kiosk was fine for ordering, but the self serve beverage station on the other hand had no cups, no lids, no straws. I said "excuse me" to an employee who then said "you're going to have to wait" and walked into back and never came back to me. Would not recommend and I've been a steak n shake fan for DECADES. Place seemed like no one cared about the customer experience. The shake machine was down, 2/5 checkout kiosks were broke, nasty drink station with dirty towels and sanitizer buckets sitting out.

Food was very good and not greasy. Burgers were delicious and shakes were awesome too although I don't think I personally like the paper straws.. I get the whole biodegradable thing but I have a hard time with the texture.

Food was good, great even. But the new Steak 'n Shake dining model is disappointing. No wait staff, you order at an electronic kiosk and wait for them to call your name. If you need anything you have to wait to see someone walking in the back and try to get thier attention. (Good luck!) No peppers, season salt, or mustard on the tables - just little packets of salt/pepper and ketchup on the counter now. The whole original feel of the restaurant is gone, the pictures of car hops and waitresses on the walls remind you of how a diner should be. If you're craving Steak 'n Shake, just go the drive through.
