Steak 'n Shake

The restaurant was clean but the service sucked. We all ordered milkshakes and they were soured. They gave our money back for the shakes. Why would they be cleaning the icecream machine in the middle of a shift? And it was busy and everyone was ordering shakes. The burgers were Great. But the kiosk dont work as well as people do and never will. I've heard so much about how great this restaurant was but not tonight.

We had a couple of burgers, and they were good. It seems that the food has stayed consistent. The dine-in experience, post-pandemic, was really a let down. The old school diner atmosphere has always been a big part of the Steak n Shake experience. This location was dark and quiet. The kitchen is now behind a wall, and there is no table service. They had put some picnic tables in the parking lot so we opted for that. If you just want something to eat, it works for that. If you are looking for the experience, at least at this location you will be disappointed.

I was so disappointed. They closed all the locations in my area; so I was amped when I saw this location. First let me say the svc was A1! Polite and fast.. but my food was awful. By the time I got down Thornton rd my bread was crispy...no, I'm serious. The meat taste like those bean burgers from Osborne High School. My drink was strong. SAD ????
