Steak 'n Shake

Can't call them Steak Burgers anymore. Not even good hamburger Shakes are frozen sugar milk, Not ice cream. Even the whip topping tastes like drywall mud. The star is for the fries. No friendly face waitresses, Do it yourself. Steak n Shake been my favorite for 60 + yrs. Not anymore !

Cashless, no servers, not much interaction from staff. The interaction we did have was great but the whole atmosphere of Steak N Shake has completely changed here. Either it's drive through only or dine/take out in only, I get this is due to short staff. Oh and this location changes the hours they are open on a whim, again I get this is a staffing issue but they should be able to keep the same daily hours and not have to close completely down for a shift change.

This restaurant does not even deserve one star! I placed order on the app, which advises you to call the restaurant (with the phone number they provide) when you arrive, so when I arrived I pulled into the designated 'car hop' spot and called the phone number. After 7+ minutes of no one answering the phone, I pulled into the drive-thru line (which defeats the whole purpose and convenience of using the Steak n Shake app. In any event when I finally got to the speaker I asked to speak to a manager. A few moments later a lady comes aggressively walking towards my car from the back (side) door of the restaurant. She asks me what the problem is and I proceed to tell her I had ordered on teh app and been waiting for my food. She responds that if I want my food I can get inline like everyone else. I then said just give me a refund. She responded get a refund from the app you didn't place your order with me. Mind you during all of this she never ONCE introduced herself, but what she did t
