SoLou

Went to SoLou for a date night with the girl. Michaela and Sam were both very attentive servers who noticed what we needed without us having to ask! From the servers to the hosts, SoLou creates a very welcoming environment!! Beautiful patio, great food! The chicken and waffles is spectacular. A few of the managers checked on us during our meal and they were quite present! I would definitely recommend!

Two stars because the managers and servers were very understanding and polite , did a lot to make me feel better about my experience. HOWEVER it has to be said that the environment/ kitchen should have higher standards for the price and the fact that you need reservations for brunch . I’m currently 7 months pregnant and ordered chicken & waffles . I was enjoying my food until I realized there was a FLY FRIED INTO THE CHICKEN BATTER .I can’t understand why the cook didn’t take to time to make sure food was fine before bringing it out . Maybe change the chicken fry after so many batches ?!! I immediately ran to the bathroom (almost fell bc the ground was wet outside and it made my shoes slippery ) to start vomiting . Again , the staff was extremely helpful in the situation but I still paid for my meal which could’ve been free considering I didn’t order fly fried chicken . But whatever . Just take the time in the kitchen & plating to ensure this doesn’t happen to anyone else .

Their brunch along with bottomless mimosas are good! The appetizer of shrimp corn dogs, pictured below are so good with that dipping sauce and the cotton candy gives a good touch to the end of your time there. I have been several times and have liked it every time.
