Sol De Mexico

Stopped for a later dinner this evening. Server was extremely friendly and fun! Food was excellent! We started with nachos, they were huge! The margaritas were fabulous, I had a mango one and it was perfect, not overly sweet! Hubby had a lime margarita and loved it too! Then I did a create your own off of the ala carte menu. I had a shredded beef chimichanga, a shrimp quesadilla & a seafood enchilada! The chimichanga was awesome! The quesadilla was good, but they use the baby shrimp in them which I am not a huge fan of. The seafood enchilada had the red sauce on it which was mild, but good, again had the baby shrimp, but they were ok in these! The hubby had the taco platter with three hard shell beef tacos, they were delicious! He also loved the decried beans and said the rice was just ok. All in all can’t wait to try more items and again, our server was awesome!

This was our second time eating here. Their tacos are above average and definitely good but far from outstanding. One standout to me is that they have lengua tacos which isn't available at too many places; they were very good. My wife and another couple dined here last night. I had a plate of tacos and my wife had a chicken dish; the other couple had fajitas and steak tacos. My tacos were all good. I had a chorizo, shredded beef, lengua and steak tacos. The chorizo, shredded beef and lengua were all standouts. The rice and beans were decent but nothing to write home about.
