Smith House Restaurant

Plenty of food and variety. Little on the warm side instead of hot when it came out. Brought out quickly by very up beat happy positive staff. Great place, it hit the spot. Parking: Need places to park trucks with trailers .

A fall tradition for our family but it had been at least 10 years since our last visit and to be honest it is not what it once was. No longer boarder house dining where you sit at a table with strangers and have a conversation…. That was a big part of the charm. Still family style but it’s not the same. The quality of the food was also wanting on the latest visit. Very bland and generic. The staff was very good and it’s still something that ought to be done every couple of years but not as good as it used to be. If you’re in the area I’d stop but I doubt many people are driving from Atlanta with the Smith house a destination that it once was.
