Silkie's Chicken and Champagne Bar

Idk I was excited to try this place. I saw this place on ig. I'm from Indiana an been trying to find a good place that have goodt food. The reviews was all good. We ordered our food and the order was wrong. They brung my hubby food out and they forgot my food. He ate his food after I told him to eat cuz his food was getting cold. So my hubby finally gets up and asks where my wife food is at. I told him not to cuz I really didn't want it by tasting his food. I didn't like the chicken, it had a funny taste to it. Idk if was the seasoning on it or what. They finally brung my food. The waffles was delicious but I didn't like the chicken. The Mac and cheese was fire ???? and yall say those biscuits is good well they was dry. So yea idk. But to each is own. This is just my opinion. It looked good fancy soul food

So after reading the reviews I was a little skeptical! But let me say this is a must try for yourself! The food was delicious I had the St. Augustine with a flight of the champagne cocktails & added collard greens and Mac and cheese. Everything was great! Will be returning with my husband. Staff was informative and answered all questions i had! Restaurant it self is self serve ( getting your own drink and eating utensils) it was clean upon me and my daughter arrival also upon arrival we were greeted and had orders taken immediately! No complaints

Where do I begin? We walked in and the woman behind the counter handed us menus. I asked if we were seating ourselves and she said, "yes, after you place your order". We'd never been there before so it was taking us a while to decide on what we wanted. I asked if we could sit and take a moment to decide on what we were having. She again said no, we needed to order first. So we ordered. I pulled out my wallet and she said, "My love, we don't accept cash. We're a card only establishment." So you're expected to order, pay first and tip before you are seated or receive your food.... On to the food. I ordered jerk chicken with grits and collards. The food was layered in a bowl. We're still trying to figure out if I had grits or oatmeal because of the texture of the food. The jerk was really spicy. The dish was lackluster. We also got chicken and waffles. The chicken was over cooked and there were crunchy things in the waffles. Still not sure what they were. The waitress asked how the food w
