Shield's Restaurant Bar Pizzeria

Pizza was good, only issue was the crust was a bit soggy in the middle but overall great tasting. Did carry out so can’t speak on the atmosphere of the restaurant.

Honestly, probably won't be back. My husband and I have decided we're going to try new places every weekend because we're still fairly new here and want to find that "go to" spot. This isn't it. We were there at 11:30 on a Saturday, it wasn't busy at all until we were almost finished eating. The hostess was not friendly; I had to lock eyes with her and say "2 please" before we were even acknowledged. The waitress was preoccupied or bothered that she had a table. We waited 10 minutes for refills after having to ask. The 18% gratuity being auto added is also problematic as the waitress knew she was being tipped so she didn't have to provide great service. But, I saw the sign going in so that was on me.

Great pizza. Nice airy and light. Cheese has a nice taste. Personally found it better than Buddy's. Lighter and more nuanced flavors without adding heavy richness. I coincidentally came on an event day with a Jazz night and it was great. The seniors around were all happy.
