Amazing food! We always enjoy eating here. Their platter portions are huge!
Love this place. It's my go-to for picking up dinner on the way home. The chicken shawarma is absolutely delicious. The falafel and baklava are amazing too. They sure serve up a home cooked meal fast. I've become such a regular that the owner recognizes me with a smile when I come in. Update Sept 25, 2022: The food is still just as good as when I left my original review. While I no longer live in the area, when I visit, this is my top choice to grab a meal. And I usually have to take extra home with me to friends and family I've turned on to their delicious food. Delicious ???? Parking: Off-street parking available. There is a small lot in the front that is often full, but usually plenty of space to the side of the building to park.
It’s been almost 8 years since the last time I had the REAL Shawerma sandwich 100% and that was in Syria. I’ve almost tried all Arab restaurants in Buffalo City, yet I never could enjoy or even say that I got Shawerma because they all made it look and taste like the regular chicken breast sandwich!! HOWEVER, I was amazed today when I tried the “Saj Chicken Shawerma” at this restaurant. I can finally say that I kinda ate shawerma sandwich ~ like 70%. Using the saj bread was a very good improvement that gave it yummy taste, thank you!!! I also like how it was served with strips of the pickled gherkins. My two notes are: 1) The saj bread must be slightly touched the flame of the infrared burners or whatever stovetop that you guys use. Could you please not forget this important step in order to make ElSaj taste much better! 2) The garlic sauce or toumia should be added to the menu as a dip and it should be spread as basis on the saj bread before placing the grilled chiken on. That would ma
