Shake Shack UTC Sarasota

Just came back from my response to hurricane Ian and wanted to try something new. Greeted with a machine to enter my own order...very impersonal and I don't want to work for my food. No military option available and since I have to place my own order prices weren't made better. Benches aren't comfortable. I'd recommend Burger Fi around the corner or Five guys where either is just as fast, 9 parties are currently seated when I visited, and your greeted in both. Also burgers are larger at either of the two other locations with the same perceived quality/good taste. Staff interaction when picking up ones food was friendly. Nice music. We ordered 2 burgers, cheese fries and 2 drinks at about $29.

OMG was I happy to see this after a day of shopping at UT Mall with my wife. Love this place everywhere I've been. The reason for the four stars was the wait time to get served from the placing of the order on the kiosk. When you've cut out the middle man things should go a little better in the kitchen and getting the orders out. This was anything but. Staff was great and very attentive to us the whole time we waited at our table but it was a wait. Worth it though as that burger has its own special flavor and the combo of lettuce, tomato, cheese, and their sauce makes it a real treat. And NOBODY does crinkle cut fries as well as they do. Love ya, but work on the order to customer being served time, #stevensleavin

Ordered 2 burgers. 1 was raw. When approached manager and told him his response was "il speak to my cook" that's it. No comp no new burger no coupon. Just "il speak to my cook" about the raw burger you just spent $10 on. I have photos. Sad because was our first time at this restaurant and probably the last.
