You can’t beat the dining atmosphere for a quick serve burger joint. They even have a heated patio with table games. The burgers are cooked to perfection and include their special sauce. They offer it on the side as well. You can fill your own drinks, and for those who prefer to stick with water, you can get it with fizz.
Usually I rave over Shake Shack because I don't visit often and I love the burgers, but today it was just okay. This was my first time at this location, so I knew there was a possibility of a different experience. My hubby and I came for lunch for our anniversary, so we threw the diet out the window as we walked in. I got the classic shakeshack burger with lettuce, tomato, cheese and bacon with cheese fries and a vanilla shake with whipped cream. The fact they charge extra for whipped cream threw me a bit, but hey yolo ball out! It was an okay shake, nothing special. The burger was DELICIOUS as always. Very nice char, decent sized bacon, cheese melted just right. I only wish I would have gotten pickles on it for an extra bit of umami. The cheese fries... I don't like the cheese they use. It's like a light cheddar cheese and it just didn't hit for me. The fries were a tad overcooked as well. Overall I still enjoyed my visit and was stuffed by the end, but I won't be getting the cheese
Ok, it looks like I am in the minority here, but I do not get the hype. $64 for 3 of us to eat mediocre burgers. Ordered burgers with no onions, and got onions. Seems simple. The cheese on the cheese fries was a poor quality liquid cheese. There are way better fast food burgers out there. Culver's is far superior. If you have a hankering for a better smash burger, get a griddle and make your own. Don't waste $20 on a sub par meal here.
