Yumi Japanese Restaurant & Bar - Edina

Delightful experience at Yumi. Lovely natural wood decor, ample natural light, and live plants made for a fresh and airy atmosphere that pairs well with the cuisine. We came for dinner with our two young daughters, ages 3 & 1. They staff was so friendly and accommodating. They provided us with a clean high chair and some kids waters. Food was good (I loved the miso soup) and our waitress was spectacular. She went the extra mile to make sure we had what we needed (extra thin rolls, more tofu in the soup for the baby). And the bartender made a fun and not-too-sweet beverage for my older daughter. Prices are reasonable! We will be back.

Had a great dinner at this restaurant which recently opened. Our server was very prompt and friendly and the place wasn't too busy. Sushi was very fresh with generous fish portion sizes especially the tuna sashimi. Good drink selection of wines by the glass, beers, and specialty drinks plus sake and more (the drink menu is a separate sheet of paper front and back with options). Would definitely come back. My only gripe is the soy sauce dishes are too shallow and small.

This is a great place for sushi! Highly recommend booking a spot in the sushi area and going there on a Saturday! Look out for the specials. My favorite was the Bob Marley and the Negitoro. Very interesting off the menu drinks too. Tried the cucumber margarita and it was the perfect summer drink. Would definitely go again!
