WOW. Just simply the best BBQ in the area. We definitely recommend the smoked turkey or pulled pork. The sausage was pretty good too, but those two just knocked our socks off. The spicy Texas beans were a highlight along with the fried okra, mashed potatoes, and the Mac n cheese sides. Plus, the service and scenery were exceptional. We spoke with the owner who came to our table to ask about our meals and enjoyed live music outside. Our waitress was also incredibly attentive and helpful as it was our first time. If you are visiting for the first time or just looking for a new place to get your BBQ fix, you must stop and try Shady Oak!
Came in late for a business trip. Wanted to redeem the last bbq I had in the north east. Shady Oak really came through!! Everything was true Texas amazing bbq! Had fall off the bone ribs, started with the bacon ends. It was all great from start to finish especially the cinnamon apples! Joel was a great server and made the experience even better. Was in and served all of my hot tasty bbq in under 20 minutes! Might try to stop back before I leave.
It's a pretty good place to eat and the bread is to love, however today I had a piece of plastic on my to go vegetables. I had the river salmon.
