Shack Breakfast & Lunch

The service was good and the food was great. I had a plate called something like "why the French hate us". Their croissant was so buttery and flaky. It's been a really long time since I've had a good croissant. The gravy tasted like it was made using real cream and whatever else is used to make scratch gravy. Oh so good. My husband had the breakfast tacos and he really enjoyed them! Their coffee is pretty solid too. They bring out water for the table in these large corked bottles which I think was a nice touch.

We had a nice waiter and tasty food. The price was decent and the portions were big. They also have a really nice gluten-free menu. Next time I'll bring a sharpie to sign the wall.

We've found this restaurant to be the best brunch location in O'Fallon. It caters to families and those who enjoy having a few drinks for brunch. Aside from this restaurant, there aren't too many good brunch places in the area without driving to St. Charles or closer to the city. The food is delicious, the service has always been outstanding, and the drinks (alcoholic and non-alcoholic) have also been good. However, keep in mind the place is always busy, and I've usually had to wait 15-45 minutes for a table if I couldn't find an open spot at the bar. So reserve in advance if you can!
