Screen Door Eastside

We tried Screen Door for brunch on New Year’s Day and it was a great decision! The restaurant was pretty busy and they said we’d need to wait, but it was maybe 3 minutes before they seated us. The chicken & waffles was top notch—I feel like you’ve really got to get the chicken right for this dish to shine and they nailed it! Flavorful & moist! Two of us ordered the bananas foster French toast and it was super delicious. Our other friend got the bacon & praline waffle and said it was really good, too. Would definitely recommend and will hopefully be back soon!

This is a southern style brunch restaurant that did not disappoint. I had the pork shoulder Benedict and split a chicken sandwich. We also had the praline bacon as a starter. The meal came with cheese grits, and were probably the best I've ever had, and the bacon was coated in maple glaze and crushed nuts with cayenne!! Excellent ???? would recommend to anyone in the Portland area.

Dinner here was excellent! Exactly what I would expect. The service was great, ambiance lovely and food delicious. I highly recommend the pimento cheese starter, the fried chicken and the blueberry upside down cake for dessert. The cocktail I had was perfect (tequila/lime/passion fruit) not too sweet and strong enough. Would love to try brunch now!
