Sankranti Restaurant

My husband and I were craving Indian food, and we happened to be in the Johns Creek area, so we decided to try this restaurant. They had a party hall where some events were going on, and because of that, the parking was difficult to find. We had to park across the street and walk back to the restaurant. It was a chilly night, and the walk to and from the restaurant was very unpleasant. We were greeted at the door and seated quickly. Our server Ranjit told us that the kitchen was too busy and we should place our entire order together. We placed orders for drinks (Sankranti Bengal Tiger, Classic Mango Margarita), appetizers (Chicken Tikka Kabab, Tandoori Shrimp), entrées (Chicken Chettinadu, Garlic Naan, Mahi-Mahi in Moilee Sauce). After 20 minutes, we got our drinks and appetizers, and from the view, almost everyone was waiting for their food. It took another 40 mins for them to bring our entrées. Mahi-Mahi in moilee sauce was $22, and the portion was not even enough for one person. We

Great ambience, went there for dinner with family. Menu has been updated since my last visit. It has trimmed down a bit but they were gracious to accommodate our needs. Vegeterian options were available and upon request were able to make Jain preparation with no onionnand garlic for some of these dishes on the menu. Great Service. Vegetarian options: They have vegeterian options on the menu and prepared dishes with jain diet restrictions. Wheelchair accessibility: Wheelchair accessible parking right at the door front. Reserved Parking is limited. Dietary restrictions: Wwre able to accomodate and prepare Jain meals with no onion and garlic. Not a standard on the menu.

Best Indian restaurant in town. Great staff and yummy food. Bit delay in peak time and little attention and kitchen coordination can fix this problem. Staff was great and outstanding service. The inside restaurant is like a home back in Kerala called "nalu kettu". Kudos the interior designers. Food was great and all our group was happy. Keep the good work at kitchen team ????
