This is a hidden jem, we stopped in for a smoothie before dance class and wished we could have stayed and skipped class. My kids loved learning about the two and getting to hold and talk to them. I am already planning to go back for breakfast and spend more time there. The staff/owners were wonderful and welcoming, the kids at the skate park who popped in to hang out were polite and raved about this awesome small business. They have skateboards, guitars, games and books to use if you want to sit and have coffee or a smoothie while interacting with the birds. They also have a full menu that I am excited to try more of in the future.
My #1 morning spot when I visit the area. Well worth the search inside the Rio Vista Community Park (next to the skate park). The best mocha, plus fantastic and filling egg based breakfast options and croissants. Lunch also looks really good, particularly the over-the-top cookies. I can tell from our chats, and his actions, the owner has great respect and cares for the people of this community. So, skip your lame Starbucks or Dutch Bro stop, and seek out this special place. You’ll be rewarded.
This is an awesome little cafe right in Rio Vista park next to the skate park. The food is good and they have quite a few drink options. The overall experience was totally awesome. We brought our five year old in and she had a blast hanging out with the macaws. All three people working were awesome with her, showing her the birds and were even super patient showing her how to hold one of them on her arm. Can't say enough good things about this business and will be making a point to come back regularly. Kid-friendliness: This place is about as kid friendly as you can get. We brought our five year old in for lunch last weekend and she had a blast with the macaws and the people working we're as friendly as could be with her.
