Salsarita's Fresh Mexican Grill

We have been 3 separate times. Our first experience was mediocre, the service was good, but the food was not. Went in the evening ordered a chicken bowl and the meat did not taste good at all and everything was cold. The food had been sitting out so long the protein and refried beans were very dry. Our second experience was much better, we went in the early afternoon got a veggie bowl. The veggies were cooked right in front of us, and the food was much fresher and yummy! Because we had a better experience our second time around we went back again a third time in the evening and asked for a veggie bowl. The lady told us it would be a 5-10 minute wait for sautéed veggies even though we were the only ones at the counter. Then she asked another employee who did not seem as though he was interested in being there or assisting his coworkers, if he could sauté the veggies. He told her they were out and then continued to walk around and listen to his headphones. So we did not order food that n

Order was super simple (chicken, cheese in a soft taco) with nothing else selected. Every single one of them had sour cream on them. The other person's order had black olives instead of black beans on every single one. How a simple order gets that mixed up, I'm not sure. Not a great first experience here. Giving it two instead of one because at least the food itself was prepared well outside of the glaring mistakes.

Nice atmosphere and pleasant employees. Love the create your own bowl restaurants. Nice selection and the chips are awesome.
