Salsa Verde Restaurant

Ordered ahead online on a Friday night. Walked in for order about 10 minutes after it was supposed to be ready. There was only one customer waiting for food, one staff member taking orders and one staff member in the kitchen area. The music was very loud and it was hard for me to hear what they were saying under their masks. Not a big deal. I was handed my bag of food after about 2 minutes. I then asked for some salsa verde. The staff member in the kitchen motioned to behind me and said that there should be some out. There was not. All the sauce bar was empty. I'm guessing someone was supposed to put out the sauces in the single serve containers in the sauce bar. The kitchen staff member made it seem like it was a task to get me some from the fridge he reached in under him. We brought good home and chips were stale and in pieces (think bottom of the bag) but warm. Salsa for the chips was mostly all liquid. The kids meal chicken fingers and fries were disgusting. They were generous size

Overall food is just ok. Tacos are way too small for the price and the quality of some of their meats is just ok. Shredded beef was not bad. Flautas are also way too small for the price. Torta barely had any meat in it. Don’t think we’ll be ordering from here again.

We've been regulars across their area restaurants for a few years now. Overall this a great choice for Mexican food! The real standout here is their Caldo De Res! Not many places serve this and they do a pretty excellent take on this dish. Plenty servings of meat, rice & vegetables and the broth is very flavorful! To be honest their other menu items are decent, but more recently all our orders have been take out & it's tough to judge given many items don't travel well in their take out containers. Investing in better containers would be wise & likely improve their feedback score! Also, you MUST, MUST check your carry out orders before leaving, since we've encountered many missing items & mistakes! You guys need to work on this since it's been a recurring issue with our visits. Otherwise, plenty to like here & we'll keep coming back!
