I’ve eaten at Salar now a few times. My only regret is that I haven’t eaten here more and had the entire menu. It is the prefect date night destination or quiet brunch spot. The cocktails are top notch. That’s coming from a beer guy. The food is well above average. Not only is each dish expertly executed, they are designed to be flavorful and memorable. When I want something extraordinary, Salar is at the top of my list.
A bit of a fancy and pricey place in Dayton (Oregon District). The ambience and the setting was very good (kind off a celebratory restaurant). The service could have been a tad bit better. Coming to the food, 1. Chilean Sea Bass (5/5) was absolutely amazing. 2. The scallops and Cebiche both were very good. 3. But we were a bit disappointed with Sea food rice and the dessert (Lucuma croustillant). My smoked margarita was also ok. Overall a good place but it’s a bit expensive for the quality and taste for the items we have tried.
An absolutely phenomenal restaurant. Excellent aesthetic, really well designed and friendly staff. That's not to mention the absolutely delicious food and cocktails! We started the chicharrones(highly recommended) and then went for the beef short ribs and the northern Peruvian style lamb shank and finished with the dark chocolate mousse cake. Topped off with some coffees, it was a top tier experience. Highly recommend, and will be returning!
