Saj

I went to Saj as I visited New Orleans for the first time. It looked so nice and neat. I am Mediterranean, so I tend to go to Mediterranean places to experience the different food they make because it reminds me of home. The waitress was so kind and polite. I asked her about any places she would recommend that I can visit during my short trip, and she gave me a list of places. The food was great. I had chicken shawarma platter. I reordered the same thing 2 days later. I highly recommend the restaurant.

My expectation for middle eastern food in New Orleans was low, but the food was exceptional! We loved the Truffled Red Lentil Soup, goat cheese (with Egyptian honey, walnuts, sunflower seeds, pumpkin seeds, cranberries), Spicy Moussaka Tapenade, and the Hummus. There is something for everyone and it was all full of flavor. And the service was wonderful, as well. I highly recommend Saj and we will definitely be back.

If you love Mediterranean food, it is definitely worth it for you to visit Saj. Fantastic service and colorful, delicious food. We ordered petit-four mezze, baked feta, and tenderloin kebab, and the flavors were incredible. Can't wait to return to try other menu items.
