Thrilled with our decision to get Easter brunch at Rye. The burnt end hash was loaded with flavor and cooked to perfection. The cinnamon rolls should be famous if they aren’t: perfectly baked dough — neither gooey (in the bad sense) nor dry — flavorful icing, and just the right amount of cinnamon. And, if you can’t tell from the pics, they’re massive! Even the drip coffee delighted: the special Roasterie blend was delicious. If we hadn’t gotten ourselves so full, we’d have stayed to enjoy one of their outstanding cocktails or a pour from among their fine selection of whiskeys. // UPDATE: I neglected to mention an equally important part of the experience: the servers. All the staff were prompt, attentive, well-groomed (you’d think that’d be a given, but unfortunately these days it’s not) and courteous.
A friend actually recommended Rye to us (my significant other and myself) and said we should try the burger. I had never heard of Rye but love trying new places. I had no idea what a great place I was stepping into. When I saw the menu, I couldn't believe my friend recommended the burger and not the steak. We started with the whipped goat cheese. It was delicious. First time having goat cheese. The honey on top was a great touch. For my entrée I chose the Prime Rib with ceaser salad and mashed yukon gold potatoes. If you love steak, then I highly recommend stopping by Rye and giving them a try. The building was clean, inside and out. The staff were extremely pleasant. Food was amazing. We even had a few mixed drinks while there, and they came out in a timely manner and were made just right.
Awesome local restaurant with a wonderful, down to earth staff. Paul the GM and Erica who was our bartender were extremely accommodating as this was our first visit to Kansas City. Chatted with us about their establishment and other local places to visit and must go eateries! We were there for happy hour and had a blast! Highly recommend. Great cocktails and beer selection. Ordered the deviled eggs and bbq pork rinds which were delicious. Definitely want to go back for brunch! Just go!!
