Very convenient location, walking distance from our hotel and vouchers from hotel were great. Very friendly staff. Very clean restaurant. Tons of options. The breakfast was amazing. We were all very satisfied with our food. They did mess up an order but offered the correct plate. Otherwise very satisfied with this location.
I loved Ruby's. The food, the ambience and the people. Great burgers, shakes and food under one roof. The 60s music makes your stay even more refreshing and enjoyable. You get lots of fries and refills on lemonades and sodas which is a great deal anyway you look at it. But the one thing I loved the most, was the fact that they don't have wifi so you enjoy your stay the most. It was a bit empty around 4 pm, but a few minutes later, the place was packed. It's safe to say it's a popular venue in Carlsbad.
The food was excellent and the service was even better. My husband highly recommends the mushroom burger. The only downside was the noise. At first the model train above was cute and quaint but after about 30 minutes the whistle became a bit overbearing. Outside dining will be in order for our next visit. As for Jose he is a wonderful waiter.
