Rodbenders Raw Bar & Grill

Normally I like the food but today was just not good. My simple baked potato was clearly over cooked, dry, cold and old. Not sure who decided this was good to send out to a paying customer but it’s not. The skin is burned and tastes horrible. There was clearly no effort in putting this together. I was there before the order was ready so it should have been hot when I took it out of the tin foil, it was cold to the touch. I’m just so disappointed you would serve me old cold food. We ordered $60 worth of food and this was my only thing for dinner so now I’m stuck taking bites of other peoples food.

I had dinner here last Saturday: Blackened Grouper with Mango Salsa. It was AMAZING! The salad was crisp, the mashed potatoes came with gravy in a little cup and the mixed vegetables were fresh and delicious. I raved about 'Rodbenders' so much this past week that my husband made a special trip to take me here on my birthday. My dinner was so good last week that I ordered it again, but switched it up with snapper. It was terrible from start to finish. The salad was wilted and stuck to the plate. The fish was either old or overcooked or both. It was NOT blackened and it had MEXICAN SALSA with a few chunks of mango thrown in (I'm assuming they ran out of Mango Salsa and decided that you could stretch it out with regular - YOU CANNOT!!) It ruined the enitre dish with the vinegar salsa dressing swirling around (3 pieces of mango). My husband ordered the Shrimp Scampi and he said it was a '5 at best.'
