Roca's Pizza & Pasta

Fun opening night at Roca’s! Food was excellent, arancinis and chopped salad to die for and our Coloradan pizza delicious. Service was a bit chaotic, salad forgotten and served the wrong pizza. Just need to get the kinks worked out. We’ll be back!

I really wanted a pizza joint in Lakewood that served a true Italian pizza with 00 flour and a rise of dough that would give you a crisp chewy crust with air bubbles to delight the palette . Did not happen. The pizza was boring. I ordered thin crust and it was like a cracker on the edges. I asked for extra crispy wings and no one told me they were not fried. They were slimy and not very tasty. I did order takeout and putting wings in styrofoam with no ventilation can add to slimy wings. Not sure if I’ll go back when I make better pizza.

The food was delicious! Highly recommend the Sicilian Pan crust. It is buttery and chewy, but not too doughy. The Fresh Burrata Salad with beets is definitely on the repeat list, and the homemade Fettuccini Pasta Alla Bolognese did not disappoint. The pasta was prepared perfectly and the Bolognese sauce was fresh and savory.
