Rivershack Tavern

Food was good, service sucked! Took over an hour to get check. We told waitress before placing orders there was 1 couple & everyone else was single. She got couple bill correct, but divided rest of bill by number of people eating, not by order.

Great hangout for drinks and food. Excellent onion rings. Rode the bikes down the levee along River Rd.

Nice little bar with good food. We started with the alligator sausage appetizer. It was very good, but we were a little sad at how little there was for the price. My husband had Chicken Sausage Gumbo (daily special) and then the Shank U burger. He said that the burger would’ve been good on its own, but the addition of the sausage patty made it perfect. I had the Rusty’s Shrimp Wrap. It was pretty tasty. I was mildly annoyed that it had tomatoes in it (though not listed on the menu). I picked it off and was able to finish it otherwise. It was a nice stop on our way back into town.
