This would be the first and only time (thus far) I’ve been to this lovely restaurant. What an incredible experience. I love the intimate atmosphere. The ‘no windows’ setting is both soothing and comforting. I enjoyed the food very much as well as the customer service and the back side lounge area, with a piano in it! Such a great place to come and enjoy some sophisticated, romantic time! ????
Great service, terrible food. This “chophouse” is for people that might not know what a “chophouse” is. Appetizers: oysters were extremely fishy and not fresh. Tomatoes salad were very plain to say the best. Drinks: old fashion was watered down, maybe sat at the bar for too long since the beer took a long time too. One person never received their wine. Main: two people ordered steaks. They were extremely tough for bone in ribeyes. No flavors. Though it was cooked correctly I would assumed the meat quality itself wasn’t good. Cauliflower dish was way over cooked. Pork tomahawk was good. Server picked up my steak to take to go since I had only a couple bites of it before I gave up on it; never came back with it. Total bill was over $300. I’m disappointed since a lot of people recommended Rick’s.
The food is TERRIBLE. A friend and I ate there for lunch a few weeks ago and it was awful. Last time I had the eggs benedict and it tasted like leftovers from the previous week. Due to the great reviews. we decided to give it one more try this week. (Every place can have a bad day and it does have great ambiance.) The food was worse than you get at a chain restaurant on the highway. It was barely edible. The blackened tuna tasted like dried shoe leather and the oysters were completely tasteless, as was the sauce. I never leave reviews but after two awful (and expensive) meals in a row, I had to leave one this time. I wanted to love it because it “looks” fabulous but it’s a 1 on a scale of 1-10.
