Rice Box Express - Sarasota Chinese Restaurant

I am not one to leave negative reviews, but because I have ordered from here many times over the years, and it was my favorite Chinese food in Sarasota, I need to share: I understand prices have gone up, but when the quality goes down at the same time, it is very disappointing. The food had no flavor. There was some heat to the Kung Pao Chicken that I ordered, beyond that, no flavor. For $15, I got mostly sauce and large pieces of broccoli, with very little chicken etc.. Even the lomein I use to love had no flavor! Disheartened. What happened Rice Box?

Quality of food was very disappointing for the price. Spent $50 for 2 people. The fried Rice was so very old. The staff was nice and it didn't take long but man I could have gone to Yummy House and gotten way better value and quality of Chinese food.

We don't go to this place very often due to distance and traffic, but when we do, it's always an excellent experience! Today's my birthday and so we made a special trip to pick up dinner. I built my own stir fry with veggies and fried tofu in their vegan garlic sauce and it was delicious! The veggies and tofu were cooked just right with no sogginess in the veggies and the tofu was nice and firm. Everything soaked up that garlic sauce perfectly and the portion I ate was so flavorful. I also had a small hot and sour soup which was also very flavorful. I could taste the sour right away while the hot component really built up and made my mouth tingle pleasantly! My husband tried the Vegan Singapore Mi Fen and just completely devoured the portion he had for tonight's dinner. I could smell the curry in his dish and might have to ask him nicely for a small taste when we reheat for tomorrow! I wish that either we lived closer, or that another shop could open in our area (NW Bradenton,
