My family and I went here this past weekend for dinner and the experience was not as great as what it used to be. Half the restaurant was dark and it was freezing inside. We miss the way the inside used to look with retro pictures and art. We ordered the onion rings and mozzarella sticks for appetizers. The onion rings have onion with the peel inside and the mozzarella sticks were so overcooked that there was barely any cheese inside so it was like just eating the fried breading. The rest of the food we ordered was bland and either cold or overcooked. The only reason I gave 2 stars was for the fries and the one gentleman who wasn't even our server, but was helping our server out. He was great! But our actual server seemed to have an attitude and was a but rude. It's really a shame what is happening to this restaurant since it used to be a family favorite.
Red Robin is one of my top favorite burgers restaurants to visit and usually the food is prepared fresh and hot and usually much to my liking but this time my River Whiskey Barbeque burger just didn't have the quality of taste and preparedness as usual, (almost thought I had a regular cheese burger) and the fries were cold. Being one of my favorite burgers joints to visit, I was disappointed in this one. Staff were pleasant though.
We ordered two cheeseburgers with fries( takeout). The hamburger patties on both the cheeseburgers were burnt. They tasted horrible and my daughter and I didn't even finish the burgers ended up throwing them away.
