Ciao Bella Ristorante

We have been Two Ciao Twice now, Food was Ok, needed seasoning, Not great for the price. Drinks were to expensive w/ Chicago Pricing. Service was very good. We walked off the street on a Friday and we’re seated at 7:pm. Not a good sign for an upscale Italian restaurant. With that all being said The One Thing That Drove Us Crazy was the added Tables it’s like a School bus, People our on top of each other, The staff can barely walk and serve, I feel sorry for the staff. I hope the owners know , Make your customers feel welcome . Just My Thoughts.

I had the caprese salad, roasted cauliflower, and cheese ravioli on Tuesday. It's Friday and I'm still thinking about how good that food was. I was enjoying my food so much I didn't realize how full I had gotten. I ended up with a bowling ball belly, a busted a stitch and rendered myself inoperable the rest of the night. The only reason I stopped eating was it was getting harder and harder to breathe. Pretty sure I would have given my last breath for another bite.

Got the chefs special sea bass was really good but my wife decided to have the white fish off of their everyday menu and it was very disappointing. I’ve never had fish served to me skin side down on a plate that was covered in sauce. Not only was it a soggy mess but also the fish was way over cooked. The skin of the fish and the meat surrounding it was grey. The fish skin was also slimy from sitting in a bed of sauce. Cooking 101 with fish that still has the skin on it you serve it crispy skin side up and lay the sauce around the fish in the plate to keep that skin crispy. Overall that white fish dish was terrible, way too much spinach piled on the plate would have helped to have some potatoes with it: place was prolly overcrowded bc my server just looked lost and took him 20 minutes to get a glass of wine. Tables are are extremely close to each other and it’s very loud and hard to hear the person across the table. The worst thing I saw was the couple behind us they got sat in
