Red Robin Gourmet Burgers and Brews

Great chicken sandwich and fries. Bartender very courteous. Only weird thing is. They make you wait, to sit at the bar. Even tho seats are available. Pretty stupid idea. Waited by the bar to see if there was something changed so they could seat me. Nothing did???????? and I could sit at the bar????

Bolingbrook location has gone down hill. We stood at the front for a good 5 minutes before someone came up front to seat us(even said hello a few times). Our waitress wasn't very friendly, made us feel like it was a bother for us to be there honestly. Food was cold when it came out. We ordered more Mac and cheese for our kids, I watched it come up and sit for 10 minutes before it being served (yes our waitress walked passed it many times) but hey we got our bottomless fries right away. This would be understandable IF it was busy but it was dead, there was MAYBE 2 other tables that people were seated at. Dessert wasn't any better, it was frozen solid, it took so long to get through. We didn't even want to bother with talking to a manager, my kids were tired and we didn't want to wait any longer. We just decided we wouldn't go to the Bolingbrook location again.

So moving that a local restaurant would take the time to set up a memorial to the 13 who were killed and the injured in Afghanistan. That's a 5++++ in my book! Usually restaurants have a star item, but here everything we tasted was delicious from the perfectly cooked burgers to the steak fries to the amazing drinks. A huge standout was the Raspberry Cream Soda that served as eye candy with whipped cream on top. As with all restaurants, seating was slow as there was only ONE food server when we arrived. But soon a second showed up and by then the ordering and food arrival were quick. Red Robin serves amazing gourmet burgers plus AMAZING everything else too!
