It took me calling to reach a full voicemail periodically over three weeks to finally have someone pick up to take our reservation! Raku Sweets gave me the tip to call within two hours of their opening, but even then it took a few tries. The Facebook messenger read my message but never responded. Luckily a trusted friend had spoken of the restaurant so highly that I didn’t give up. We were able to secure an 8:30pm Saturday reservation for four and ended up seated in our own little room where we each ordered the $120 omakase. It was a very nice experience, with wonderful staff, beautiful ambiance, and all impeccably prepared dishes. The dinner was more meat heavy than expected, and while delicious our favourites were the incredible house made tofu and the sashimi platter. I’m told we should return in fall for ikura season.

Excellent food, timing, and service. Not overly priced ($100 with tip for 2) and we got to try each dish we wanted and left feeling full. A few of our faves are pictured below. Reservations were definitely necessary and require you to call the restaurant (potentially serval times). Can’t wait to go back!

Make sure to make reservations. Saw people who didn’t and got turned away. Service could have been better. Bring a sweater, AC is on high. We had a hard time understanding what our server was saying. Suggest the bring the omakase menu list with the regular and drink menu instead of us having to ask for it. Noticed other tables had to ask too. It just causes more wait time which we had a lot of when we sat down. They have a chalkboard with specials but when you can’t understand what the server is saying, it doesn’t help and the board doesn’t have enough written to get what those were or the prices. Maybe a special printed specials paper would be easier for all. They have a really nice spices and sauces tray. I loved the green tea salt. Forgot the take a photo of the omakase menu. They have 2. $120 and $150. It was nice that they are flexible to let us get different ones. I ordered the $120 because I wanted foie gras. Husband got $150 with king crab but there was an * that they can subs
