Rafa's Cafe Mexicano

Overall it was a good tex mex restaurant, though it wasn’t the best. It’s been a few days since I visited, and I can’t recall the best dish. It’s like, everything is fine but nothing so special. I liked their chips and queso but their guacamole was so blend. I got Cancun dish and all the enchiladas were pretty hard and filling wasn’t even. Felt like it was premade and reheated or something like that. Mexican rice was good though I felt weird seeing carrots and peas with it.. margarita was good but it’s those sweet sour margaritas you can buy from Costco. It was a good try.

I picked food up to go. They have a 6% togo charge but the food was plentiful and the tacos were amazing. While I was waiting Jose offered me some water.

When we lived in Dallas, this was one of our absolute neighborhood go to restaurants. Just visited after years, and it hasn't changed, which is a good thing! Incredible Mexican food (fresh, tasty and a great variety) and fantastic service. 5+ stars!
