Racanelli's New York Pizzeria

Every time we come to St Louis we eat here! We absolutely love the pizza. We have 10 inch meat lovers, a calzone and a stromboli. So delicious

Went to this location and was not initially greeted until the guy making the pizzas could see my frustration and told me someone would be with me shortly. I was then told there were no single slices of any pizza multiple times and was instead offered a 14 inch. I advised her I was just looking to feed my toddler so a single slice is all I would need. Magically she said that she could go ahead and give me a slice. I then realize the kids in the back are those of employees as one walked behind the counter. I understand with a pandemic childcare can be challenging but this was not ok. These kids were on the floor playing and then back with the food. I also feel that as other people came in the women sitting then got up to greet/help these people(possibly regulars). They were white males so I then began to feel not as welcomed as nobody got up to help me(black female) like these other two men who came in. The best- I repeat THE BEST - calzones in the area. I live a bit outside their delivery zone but it's well worth the wait for Doordash to deliver. Forget the other places! Only go to Racanelli's for calzones!
