Maybe the best BBQ I've had ever. Period. I'm an out-of-towner who visited the KC area for a night. My wife and I looked for a top rated BBQ restaurant near Drury Inn and we were impressed by Q39. We sampled and shared a few different things (ribs, brisket, vegetables, and sides) and everything we tried was excellent. Our unanimous favorite was the burnt ends. Kansas City and Q39 definitely lived up to the hype!
Fantastic bbq! Very possibly the best burnt ends in town. We went on Friday at 6:00 and we’re able to get a table rather quickly. There was definitely a wait as we left. You can make reservations if you’re better planners than we are. There’s a bar and some TVs. It’s not a quiet restaurant but the food is amazing. Service was great. We will definitely be back. We hope our reviews and photos are helpful for learning about shopping, eating and playing in the area we live in.
Recently enjoyed a wonderful dinner at Q39 South. We ordered two combination plates with ribs and brisket, but different sides (pictured). The ribs and brisket were fantastic. Excellent rub, cut, and bbq sauce! Our sides—Mac and cheese, fries, and baked beans—were also really good. The Mac and cheese was particularly good. It does run on the pricier side for dinner, but well worth it for a nice, sit down BBQ meal. We sat in the enclosed patio and enjoyed the ambiance too.
