Usually order online from the crossroads location but we decided to dine in for once at the Lewisville location. it’s a big restaurant which used to be the Lewisville feed mill so that’s pretty cool! It was Thursday around 6:00pm and it was pretty empty except for some tables being used. We ordered the bandidos, which were so good I never had them before but wow they were good! I ordered a pulled pork sandwich while my fiancé ordered a chicken fried steak. When my sandwich came out it looked…very bland. I asked for no pickles, no onions and the jalapeño coke slaw on the side. That’s on me. But It’s supposed to come with bbq sauce but they didn’t put that on there. So I had to ask for the sauce and it took 10 minutes to get it. I understand though because the young man ended up having a big party show up so he was tending to them as well, as he explained. It still would’ve been nice to get a lil more attention but I supposed since we were a young couple he wasn’t too worried about us. O
Underwhelmed and falling short. Date night brought my husband and I to a local restuarant, Prairie House. The interior is beautiful, the live musician they hosted has a beautiful sultry voice that elevated the cozy decor. Burnt Ends appetizer was dry and lukewarm, served with dry onions and peppers. New York strip had numerous tendons and gristle and the char marks very light in texture. Mushrooms were a nice texture but fairly bland. Vegetable kebab was a nice touch, however the plating was too small to accommodate it and grew cold quickly. Grilled Salmon was tasty and paired well with their French fries. Highlight of this dinner experience was the Caesar salads, however that alone is not enough to bring desire to return. Would not recommend. Disappointed, but glad to have heard such a talented artist.
This was a fun place. The service is a little spotty, but it seems like that’s because there’s a lot of regulars that like to chat with the staff. Food was solid, prices may be a bit high, but they’re published on the net, so you should walk in aware of that. I’ll go again - they had live music tonight we went, which was a great touch. No vegetarian options, which was a downer.
