Main Street Cafe

Went to celebrate our anniversary here for dinner. Quiet restaurant with good service. Wife ordered redfish on rice. Nice size portion. She shared with me and took some home. Very tasty. I recommend. I had beef on bread with gravy and black eyed peas. Also very good. While we did not use, has a good bar area with large screen TV. Restaurant is an old house dating back to the 1800s that has been added on to over the years. The part of the restaurant we were seated was part of the original house with old windows and such. In short, if you want a nice quiet restaurant that is not part of a cookie cutter corporate designed chain come here.

I used to come here all the time before it changed owners but haven’t had a chance to check it out in years. Finally went back this morning and not much has changed. The food and service are still good and the environment is still laid back. I’ll have to add it to my list of regular breakfast stops and see what it’s like in the evenings when I get a chance.
