Great atmosphere. I'm glad they have a vegetarian hot dog option. I got the plant based Chicago style, it was pretty good.. it tasted similar to a Morningstar hot dog but they use a different brand. Vegetarian options: Plant based hot dog
Having grown up in the Chicagoland area, found this dining experience reminding me of home in the early 80s. My Chicago Dog was very well made and tasted like home, my dipped roast beef sandwich did the trick on my hunger, it was a nice treat to visit Portillo's
Went here for the first time to visit with a friend and their family. It was DELICIOUS! The vibe and ambiance is super fun and energetic. I ordered the regular Italian beef and fries! I had the gravy on the side and it was unbelievable! Had the strawberry shortcake for a sweet treat after and it did not disappoint. Although it was busy in the restaurant, the staff worked hard and were super kind. Went through the drive through after to grab additional food for home. Grabbed a Chicago style hot dog and Chicago combo bowl. Great first visit. Will be back when I am in town again.
