Porridge & Things

Service was adequate and food was decent. Only peeve was we received the bill while we were still eating, about half way. What kind of $hit is that?

We had the Chi Zhow combo dinner and cold crab. Nobody on the Peninsula does that village cooking style. I love the combo appetizer plate the the best. The crab & prawn porridge was tasty, but the crab & prawns was not fresh. Service was wonderful & attentive.

This is an one of the kind experience - you won't see too many Chaozhou/Chiuchow restaurants in the United States. The porridge and the Chow Fun are definitely a must try, and we found the fish paste very authentic too - again, that's not something you will see everyday here. Growing up with Chaozhou food during my childhood (although I was not from the area), this restaurant definitely makes me feel homesick. If you want to try out some good porridge or just want to get Chaozhou food, this restaurant should absolutely be on your list.
