Poor Richard's Restaurant

1st time there, will not be the last. Great service (thank you Carl), the food was excellent, and the ambiance was historic. It's easy to see why Poor Richard's has been around since 1977! Hope they stay around for a long time!

I am so sad to be posting this review. Poor Richards was one of our favorite restaurants, so when my kids were here from CO and my sister was here from OH for my birthday, I couldn't wait to take them here. I immediately ordered a dirty martini with blue cheese stuffed olives. It was delicious, but it took 15 minutes to be served. We ordered the fried mushrooms (without cheese), which were also delicious, but the waitress accidently bumped the plate upon serving and several mushrooms fell to the floor. We insisted she still serve them, but I feel they should have been discounted or removed from our bill. We continued to wait an hour for our meals, which ALL came out cold! It was my birthday, so I was looking forward to a nice dessert, but we were DONE. Paying $300 for dinner where noone was satisfied was very difficult. I was really hoping the same level of food and service would remain under the new ownership, but not even close.

I haven't been in the actual restaurant in a while until tonight and it was AMAZING! Best Steak in town. Crystal was our waitress and she was on top of everything. We ordered delivery last weekend and it was AMAZING also! Definitely will be back! From the time we walked in the door until the time we left everything was perfect! Everyone was so nice and helpful!!
