Never judge a book by its cover. From the outside you have second thoughts about coming in,but once inside the warm feeling that you get from a home cook meal fills you up. Everything was delicious and very respectful and courteous sevice. We will be back.!!
Barbecue and grilling are synonymous with Texas my interest was first peaked by the smell alone just driving past waiting at the stoplight you're inundated with the smell of the smokers the mesquite drawing you in, this little out of the way restaurant is definitely worth the trip quality and price the barbecue chicken is worth it. The flavor is akin to that of weekend family barbecue the condiments complement the food well especially with the indulgence of a Mexican soda on the side.
This hole in the wall small restaurant has authentic, homemade, Mexican comfort food. The rice and beans taste like my grandma's cooking. My hubby and I ordered a plate to share with one beef rib, a piece of pollo asado (grilled/BBQ chicken), and 2 large pieces of sausage for about $8. It also came with 3-4 tortillas. We ordered a BIG baked potato with butter, cheddar cheese, and sour cream. We had a Coke in a glass bottle from MX, and a bottled water. The server kept our bowl of homemade tortilla chips full, and the pico de gallo and 2 different kinds of salsa were great tasting. We paid about $20 (w/tip). It was enough food to fill us both up, and we took some food home. They also sell purses, caps, and earrings from Mexico. All in all, I'd say we had a great meal. It's nothing fancy, but the food was well worth the 20+ minutes we waited!!
