Pollo Tropical

This was my first time earing at this chain. I went in hopeful, but was disappointed. The chicken tasted fine, but wasn't very hot. The yellow rice seemed to have been sitting for a long time, i.e. not fresh, though it was warm. The beans were hot and tasted fine. I tried 2 sauces on the chicken and they both had a weird flavor - not sure if it's because they had too much lime or if there was a spice I wasn't used to, but they were not good. Overall, the quality and flavors of the food was poor. Additionally, the restaurant felt dirty. I had to search to find a table that was clean. The counter where I got my tray of food was wet and felt dirty when I picked up my tray. It needed to be wiped down. And when I was done, the trash was so full I couldn't get my trash into the can. I don't each much fast food these days anyway, but since I had never tried this one in the 2.5 years I have lived here, I decided to give it a chance. I won't be back.

This is my first time going to Pollo Tropical since I lived in Atlanta. I drove all the way from North Sarasota for the worst experience ever. The girl in the drive through window at 7 pm tonight needs to take a Customer Service 101 class. The only words out of her mouth was telling me the price. Even when I thanked her, no response of you're welcome! That is common courtesy I ordered a whole chicken and side of Mac N' Cheese. The chicken was disgustingly dry and the skin was dark black and burnt. I was not going to feed that to my family and I was not driving 30 minutes to go back.. The Mac N' Cheese was mostly juice. I will spread the word to stay away from your restaurant. I will have to enjoy your chicken when I go back to Atlanta. I did go back the next day and was given a full refund from a manager. This is why I changed my rating from one star to three stars.

Please change your restaurant hours to show accurate operational hours. Website says open until 10 pm. Orange cone blocking drive thru & Doors were locked at 9:15 and 4 cars including myself were waiting to order. Photo from 9:15 pm Thanks!
