Plum Vietnamese Restaurant

i ordered their shaken steak and rice which came out sizzling hot. the meat had the perfect marinade— in the first bite i could tell it had adequate time soaking in the flavors. the most important part is that the meat was not over-cooked (it was a nice medium rare). the dish also had spinach and eggs which paired nicely with the steak. the eggs were left runny so the yolk added a creamy flavor to the dish. it all paired nicely with white rice and left me full and satisfied. i’ll definitely make a trip back to try their other menu items at some point (would love to try their pho)!

My husband and I always find ourselves back at Plum when we are craving something delicious, unique, true to its style of cuisine, and actually affordable for what you get. Plum has a really good Happy Hour menu that features a Lychee martini which I loved. I’m a big fan of the spring rolls. The curry duck is by far the best thing on the menu IMO but at $25, it’s not something we get just for funsies unless we’re out on date night. The pho is full of great flavors - sooo yummy! Highly recommend checking this hidden gem out.

So we went out as a group of ~10 so we were offered 3 meal course. I first got a salad, and I love the dressing. Then the main was the spicy duck curry. It was amazing, but it didn’t have any spiciness at all (I am bad at eating spicy food) and a little too sweet. My friends got a pho bowl, and they said that the broth and the meat were on point but the noodles weren’t that good. For desserts, I got the vanilla ice cream, but you should get the Ha Long Pearl. It is unique and sweet, and the pearl is made of taro and it is chewy. It looks simple but definitely something that is special. The service was nice and friendly. Overall, it isn’t an authentic Vietnamese restaurant (I can tell with the spelling of “bahn mi”). It is more of fusion with other Southeast Asian countries. But we really enjoyed our dinner time here and would come back if we had a chance.
