Had a delicious dinner with the family for my wife's birthday, along with great service. We ordered the creamy polenta with mushrooms to start. Comes out super hot, and gets the meal started right. The pasta with pork ragu and duck for entrees. Closed with chocolate cake. Vegetarian options: Has several vegetarian options with some dishes you can modify.

Great food. Tacky service. It’s really extraordinary how excellent food can taste bad when the environment is substandard. I sat at the bar for dinner. The server, who was mostly efficient, if mechanical, had no compunction letting her phone ring loudly and then accepting calls right in front of me. I won’t bore you with the inanities of her conversation, but suffice it to say that she had no awareness of how her loud voice and banal chit chat were bumming me out. It got worse: she and a colleague thought it would be a good idea to watch a video 3 feet away from me, which had them in stitches while I was wondering if somebody would bring me the pepper grinder. When she wasn’t yukking it up, my server was complaining to her colleague about how exhausted she was, and how badly she needs a vacation. I think she should take her vacation (I wish she would!), but I don’t really want to hear about how miserable she is at work while serving me. Gennaro: you’ve worked so hard to develop a fabu
