Pizza Port Solana Beach

Pizza Port is a venerable institution, known for the classic combo of good beer + pizza. However, I find myself unable to recommend this establishment for the simple fact, that's its disgustingly filthy. When we visited, at 2 PM on a Sunday, no one was clearing or wiping the tables. All tables were overflowing with dirty dishes, and were filthy. My family with young children were forced to find the least dirty table and clear cups and wipe it down with napkins ourselves. I saw other families doing the same. This combined with the rather salty service (feature, not a bug?), is why despite the venerable tradition, I'd say to pass on this place.

Have had the beer many times and always wanted to try the pizza. It lived up to the hype. The pizza is as great as the beer, if not better. Always been a fan of the swami’s. The flying Hawaiian and take me higher was really good. Will definitely be taking a lot of beer back home with me. Just wish we could get it in Oklahoma.

The cheeseburger pizza is amazing. I think I love this place. It is very reasonably priced and almost sits on the beach. If you visit San Diego it is a must visit. Fantastic beer selection!
