A quick, large-serving, and delicious Mediterranean local “sweetgreen-styled” restaurant. Great place to grab a quick meal during our visit of Yale University. Staff so friendly and the serving size will for sure feed an hungry soul well.
We ordered two meat gyros and walked back to our hotel only to find they gave us someone else’s sandwich so I had to go back and get another. It was actually good for a fast food meal. I would have preferred the meat to be hot, much if the meat was dried and over cooked. It’s worth trying but probably eat it there.
Grabbed a quick takeout lunch here while staying at the hotel nearby. Got the Schwafel bowl and it came out to $13.90 after taxes and before tips. For me the portion was good. But my friend remarked that it seemed a bit on the smaller size. I got the bowl with salad (the rice option probably would have been tastier). I got a little bit of everything - shawarma chicken, chicken kebab and falafels. The falafel was fried on spot, so it was hot and crispy. I also got a little of every side I wanted - fatoush, hummus and chickpea salad. Lastly, I asked for a couple of sauces. My server was Munaza A. and I must compliment the friendly and quick service and for helping me have a good experience.
