Pineda Tacos

don't get me wrong i like this place in theory, it's close to me and the people that work here are nice, service is quick and the place is clean. the salsa is generally pretty good too. unfortunately the quality of the actual food is what's lead me to write this review. i've ordered here about 7 times over the past year, and each time the food hovers between not very good, acceptable and one time it was very good. i get the same thing everytime, #1 burrito, this last time (about 11am) the burrito was visibly soggy and had a weird plastic smell, i don't know if there were some residual cleaner left in the pots but it tasted off. i've worked in food service for the past 10 years. while the meat is generally pretty good, the rice and lettuce and tomatoes are usually subpar quality and/or not rinsed and drained properly, leading to soggy burrito. rice is almost always overcooked. i've given Pineda a shot all these times because i would be thrilled to have a close to home taco joint, a go t

If i could rate this 0 stars , I would. The food tasted old. The rice tasted like boxed rice and the customer service was awful. Save your time and go to the location on lake street which is amazing.
